REDLAND-Victoria Point Sharks have defeated top-placed Broadbeach on the road to continue their climb up the QAFL ladder.
Harrison Kerr booted four goals and Peter Yagmoor three to help the Sharks secure a 90-76 win on the Gold Coast.
Coach Phil Carse said a number of players stood up to trump the table toppers, including Jarrod Huddy and midfielder Caleb Franks.

He said victory over a strong outfit like Broadbeach would give the team a boost going into the second half of the season.
"We are six and three now, so we are in a pretty solid position," Carse said.
"We've had some ups and downs through the first half of the year, but we think we're tracking well and continually improving.
"We have put ourselves in a good position for the last half of the year to give ourselves a good chance of finals."
The Sharks played from behind for most of the first half but got themselves out of trouble with three goals leading into the major change.
They controlled the remainder of the contest and had their three-quarter time lead shaved by only two points at the final siren as they kicked three more goals in the final term.
Carse said the team had used the round nine bye to reset, bond over a meal, and review their performances.
"We went away and played some ten-pin bowling and had a feed as a team," he said.
"We went over what we were doing well and what we weren't doing so well.
"I think the boys have really responded since then."
Redland-Victoria Point Sharks return to Totally Workwear Park on Saturday for a 2pm clash with Wilston Grange.
It will be a tough road trip for the Brisbane-based team, who travel to Redlands with two wins to their name this season.
Carse said the team had hit good form but needed to ensure they were playing consistent football over all four quarters.
"We were four and three a couple of weeks ago, and playing some up and down footy," he said.
"We had a big win over Noosa and now have knocked off the top side, so we feel like we have found our groove and want to keep that going this weekend."
