CAPALABA FC's men's side have brought their five match losing run to an end with a hard-fought 1-1 draw with Eastern Suburbs on Saturday night in the National Premier Leagues.
The Bulldogs arrested their mid-season form dip with a fighting display at Max Haynes Field against their fellow mid-tablers to firm their hold on eleventh on the table.
After absorbing early pressure, midfielder Matty Gordon delivered a scrappy opener for the Bulldogs in the 36th minute of the contest.
The visitors levelled immediately prior to half-time through their skipper Alex Barnett to set-up an intriguing second half.

However, neither side could capitalise on their chances in the final 45 minutes, with Bulldogs goalkeeper Tomi Mesaric proving repeatedly up-to-task for the hosts.
The result moves David McEvoy's side five points clear of the relegation zone at the half-way point of the season.
Earlier, the Bulldogs women extended their unbeaten run to eleven matches in all competitions as they also battled to a 1-1 draw with Easts.
Former Matildas star Amy Chapman delivered the opener for the Bulldogs in the 45th minute to cap off a dominant first-half display.
Archie Kahondo's side paid the price for failing to put the game away in the second half when Georgina Amos scored the leveller for the visitors in injury time.
The result sees the team remain in third place on the NPL women's table with only a handful of games remaining before the mid-season split.
They next tackle a tricky away clash with Sunshine Coast Wanderers on Sunday, while the Men's team take a break with the scheduled mid-season bye.
