If you are looking for a warm beanie and a cosy scarf these chilly wintry days, the Redland Museum has an array on sale.
The beanies and scarves project is in its twelfth year and boasts hand knitted winter woolies in a variety of colours and patterns.
All items, displayed on a tree at the museum are $10 each, except for children's and baby's beanies, which are sold at a lower price. The trendy accessories each come with a decorative Redland Museum tag which is popular with those who wish to send the beanie or scarf overseas as a gift.
The beanie tree blooms until August 31 and all proceeds from sales go to the museum.
More information on the history of the beanie, which has its origins in medieval times, can be found on the museum website www.redlandmuseum.org.au
The museum is open every day from 10am to 3.30pm
