TWO Dunwich teens who allegedly slashed tyres while their victims ate dinner at local football clubs will face court next month.
Police say the victims returned from dinner to find several flat tyres on their two vehicles.
Sergeant Darren Scanlan said the two 18-year-old offenders were known to the victims and the tyre slashing was a targeted attack.
Police were called to the scene on Ballow Road at Dunwich at 7.45pm on Tuesday, July 8.
The men have been charged with wilful damage and are due in Cleveland Magistrates Court next month.
"The two offenders have good jobs and they put all that at risk by doing something stupid like this which could result in a criminal conviction," he said.
"People's property needs to be respected."

Elsewhere, a 27-year-old Brisbane man was charged with drink driving after three cars were reported speeding on Main Beach.
The man is alleged to have returned a blood alcohol reading of 0.068, while a 25-year-old Surfers Paradise man was handed a ticket after being clocked travelling at 88km/h in a 60km/h zone.
Rangers had contacted police to report three cars speeding on the beach at 9.30am on Sunday.
Police pulled them over just minutes later south of the causeway.
Sergeant Scanlan said the drivers had drawn attention to themselves by tearing up the beach at well above the 60km/h speed limit.
"This is an example of police and local rangers working together to enhance beach safety and detect rule breakers," he said.
"Their actions have consequences. The drink driver thought he was right to drive after a big night but he was wrong.
"As a sole business owner, he needs his licence to work but it was his decision to drive and will now face the magistrate."
Police have issued nine infringement notices for speeding and parking offences in the past week.
That included an 18-year-old p plater behind the wheel of a LandCruiser who was caught travelling at 105km/h in the 60km/h zone on Main Beach.
Sergeant Scanlan said he had passengers in his car at the time and his behaviour could have had deadly consequences.
