CAPALABA FC's form surge has continued after notching a third straight win the National Premier Leagues in Mackay on Saturday night.
The Bulldogs proved the more clinical at Sologinkin Oval as they brushed aside relegation-threatened Magpies Crusaders 3-0 in an end-to-end clash.
Attacking duo Tarig Hammad and Kado Aoci both found the back of the net in the first-half, before Yianni Kondilis iced the win in the closing minutes of the second stanza.
However, it was at the back that the Bulldogs again showed their growing strength, notching a clean sheet in the club's first ever competitive match in North Queensland.
The result continues a mid-season resurgence for David McEvoy's side and marks the first time the club has ever won three straight games in the state's top tier men's league.
Defensive rock and captain Tristan Hugo said the team had no intention of slowing down after rising to tenth in the league standings.
"It was a massive win," he said.
"The boys knew how important it was to fly back with the three points.
"Everyone knows our expectations and what is needed for our team and our club to keep moving forward.
"Some people wrote us off before the season started and it feels good to be proving them wrong."
The Bulldogs now face a quick turnaround ahead of Wednesday's trip to Richlands as they aim for a league-double over defending champions Lions FC.
"Lions are a respected club and we want to prove to them the first round win wasn't a one-off," Hugo Said. "We are on a good run and will be going for all three points."
The team will back up from that match on Saturday at home against Brisbane Roar Youth, while the Bulldogs Women's side return to league action following the mid-season break against Sunshine Coast Wanderers on Sunday.
The fixtures form part of a big weekend for the club as it hosts its annual Pink Weekend cancer charity fundraiser at their John Fredericks Park home complex.
