A PRIZE pool of more than $10,000 will be on offer at North Stradbroke Island Golf Club during the Sealink PGA Legends Pro-Am in August.
A total of 44 pros will compete for $11,000, while 20 amateurs will join them on the course for a shot at prizes worth $1000.
Organisers are hopeful the event will draw a crowd, as it is set down for the Ekka people's day public holiday on Wednesday, August 11.
Club president Peter Turner hoped Straddie locals would drop in and mainland visitors would make use of public transport for a day trip to the island.
"The course is in magnificent condition and many of the repeat participants will be able to appreciate the improvements made even during these difficult COVID-19 times," he said.
"The inspirational welcome to country performed by the Quandamooka Yulu Burri Ba Dancers led by Josh Walker will as usual be one of the highlights of the day and is much appreciated by all involved."

The club has hosted the Sealink PGA Legends Pro-Am for the last three years.
Mr Turner said the PGA would make cuts before releasing the playing list for the event.
Last year's tournament included players like Peter Fowler, Glen Joyner, Andre Stolz, Terry Price and winner Allan Cooper.
"The pros will be competing for a prize pool of $11,000 and the amateurs for prizes valued at $1000," he said.
"Admission to the event is complimentary, so we are hoping many local Straddie residents will attend and that many mainland day visitors will make use of SeaLink's transport to the island ... "
