A group of Redlands women are raising money for kids and looking good while they do it.
The Redlands VIEW club held its annual fashion show fundraiser at the Redlands City Lions club hall in Cleveland last week.
All proceeds from ticket and raffle sales, as well as a percentage of fashion sales went to The Smith Family's Learning For Life program.
Club members sashayed on the catwalk, showing off outfits from Portafino Fashion boutique to the 60 women who attended the lunch.
Redlands VIEW club president Lorna Daddow said the club raised $3413.60 at the fashion fundraiser.
"It was such an amazing event, everyone had such a wonderful time and the models looked absolutely beautiful," she said.
The models wore Portafino, a Brisbane fashion label which provides affordable quality clothing in a range of fabrics, sizes and designs.
The company organises ladies fashion parades at various clubs and organisations.
"This is the second year we have had them come along and they help us make it a really exciting day and raise lots of money," Ms Daddow said.
"We were founded in 1960 and our mission is to help disadvantaged children get a good education, and events like this are such a fun way to make that happen."
The Redlands VIEW club meets monthly for a two course lunch at the Redlands Sports clubs with guest speakers and also holds fortnightly social activities including movies, morning teas, theatre performances, and bus trips.
