REDLANDS United have earned a grand final berth in the Women's Legends competition after defeating cross-town rivals Capalaba Bulldogs in the season's penultimate game.
The side, known as the Old Ducks, have already secured the premiership this season but will play for grand final glory on Wednesday night against University of Queensland.
Sarah Mapstone scored all three Redlands goals in their semi-final rout of Capalaba last week, helping the side secure a home final.
The hat-trick hero broke the deadlock with her first goal about midway through the first half and doubled the advantage shortly after to give Redlands a 2-0 half-time lead.
Mapstone slammed in her third of the night immediately after the break, but windy conditions made scoring difficult during the remainder of the game.
Goalkeeper Jamie-Lee Class produced a clean sheet for the home side, stopping anything the visitors threw her way.
The defence also stood tall to stave off repeated Capalaba counter-attacks as Redlands produced a 3-0 win.
The Larry Class-coached Old Ducks will be hoping for a repeat of their 2019 heroics, which saw them earn the premiership and down Park Ridge 4-2 in the final.
Redlands play University of Queensland in the decider from 7pm on Wednesday at Cleveland's Compass Grounds.
Their opponents downed Park Ridge 7-0 last week, and were the only team to take a point from Redlands during the regular season.
Redlands United has also thanked clubs who competed in a free community carnival for junior footballers at the weekend.
The Red Devils hosted the likes of Redland City, Capalaba, Logan, Coomera, Rochedale and Bethania for the carnival.
