Alexandra Hills State High School was visited by sporting superstars this week to recognise a first nations student's commitment to school and academic success.
Year seven student Kyla Mellare was one of 41 Beyond the Broncos Girls Academy participants who received an NRMA Insurance Student Award.
Beyond the Broncos Ambassadors, former Broncos rugby league player Justin Hodges and ex-Firebirds netball star Beryl Friday, presented Kyla with the award for high attendance rate, dedication to study and cultural leadership efforts.
More than 280 Redlands students are enrolled in the Beyond the Broncos Girl's Academy which encourages Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander girls to commit to their education.

Ms Friday, a proud Nyungkul woman, said Kyla's dedication to school and hard work was paying off.
"Kyla has shown outstanding commitment to the program and developed a strong sense of pride in her culture," Ms Friday said.
"Achieving more than 90 per cent school attendance... Kyla has displayed great leadership skills, having been selected for our Girls Academy Leadership Camp.
"She is a great role model for the other girls in the program and is actively involved in cultural discussions and activities."
Beyond the Broncos Girls Academy has worked with more than 4000 students since it was founded in 2016, supporting and encouraging young Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women.
