Celebrating champions of business
There was an incredible line-up of local talent and businesses at the Redlands Coast Business Excellence Awards for 2021 on October 9 with this year's theme of 'Celebration, Passion & Excellence' .
This initiative of the Redlands Coast Chamber of Commerce brings together local businesses every year to highlight and showcase the champions of business excellence and they are pleased to boast that this year's event included an almost 100 per cent spend of business and suppliers from the Redlands Coast itself.
These included, the East Coast Boogie Dancers, Sirromet Wines, Straddie Brewing Co., Pacific Trophies, Snap Printing Capalaba and Freeman's Party Hire.
Under-pinned by a new framework of Business Excellence, the Redlands Coast Chamber of Commerce re-imagined and re-aligned their annual awards and saw hundreds of businesses nominate themselves across 25 categories, including the People's Choice Award that received thousands of votes from the public.
From these nominations, 70 finalists were chosen by a carefully selected panel of judges, including representatives from the Small Business Commissioner's office, Tafe QLD, and other leaders of excellence in our city, with Bristol Paints, Capalaba, taking out the 2021 Redlands Coast Champion Business of the Year Award.
"The annual awards dinner is the biggest engagement activity of the Chamber each year, with the awards attracting more than 800 attendees in the past.
"In a post COVID world we believe it is as important as ever that we continue to keep all industry sectors engaged through the awards initiative and celebrate our Redlands Coast Champions," said Chamber president Rebecca Young.
