The Redlands CWA got up close and personal with some cute and cuddly creatures last month.
The group celebrated seniors week at its local branch with Wildlife and Rescue Queensland.
The group gathered for a high tea and were joined by Wildlife and Rescue Queensland president Byron Cann, federal LNP candidate Henry Pike, Oodgeroo MP Mark Robinson and Cr Lance Hewlett.
Mr Cann brought two rescue animals, a baby joey and possum at the delight of the women in the group.
He gave a presentation about the rescue work done by members of Wildlife and Rescue Queensland, and what they do to find, look after and protect the animals.
Some CWA members were joined by their husbands, the Redland District Committee of the Aging for the high tea.
Wildlife Rescue Queensland is a non-profit organisation specialising in the rescue, rehabilitation and release of native Australian wildlife primarily in the Moreton Bay region.
