SURF Life Saving Queensland will make a splash with its Little Lifesaver program during the holiday season.
Supported by Kumon, the program is a fun way for children to learn about water safety, while keeping them entertained during school holidays.
Activities will be held at Raby Bay Foreshore and Cylinder Beach on Straddie in January.
Children will have the opportunity to take part in a wide range of water activities, beach games and rescue techniques without the trip to the beach.
The program, for children between the ages of five and 11, is designed to be fun and engaging and help increase children's skills and confidence in the water.
Little Lifesavers will be at Raby Bay Foreshore Park from January 17 to 21 - five-day program.
Activities will be from 8am - 10am with sign on at 7.45am.
The cost is $175 and includes a rash shirt and pack -
All participants are required to wear a long-sleeved Little Lifesavers rash shirt.
In the Little Lifesavers backpack will be a water bottle and activity booklet.
Participants will receive a certificate at the end of the program.
Little Lifesavers will be at Cylinder Beach from January 12 to 13 with the program on from 8am to noon.
