Australasian Dance Collective unleashes three works from renowned choreographers Jack Lister, Melanie Lane and Hofesh Shechter in Three, coming to RPAC at 7.30pm on July 1.
The performance follows the shows premiere at the QPAC Playhouse in May last year with RPAC included to finish a 13-venue Queensland tour.
Mr Lister said the response in regional areas had been fantastic.
"They are blown away. Most people tell us they've never seen anything like this," he said.
The show comes in three parts, each relating to various stimuli.
Act 1: Alterum Melanie Lane is one of Australia's strongest choreographic voices, seamlessly blending elegance with sexy, edgy physicality. Set to a driving soundtrack from renowned composer, Clark, Alterum promises to transport to a universe beyond the natural world.
Drawing on the reoccurring themes of the supernatural body, seen in history through mythological hybrid creatures or in today's hyper-real superheroes of science fiction, Lane reflects on the human body and its search for intimacy.
Lister fuses dance and visual art in the intricate and haunting Still Life. Inspired by the artworks of the 16th and 17th century Memento Mori movement, it serves as a touchstone of our own mortality, the beauty in decay and our relationship with time.
Still Life embraces the dichotomy of the permanence of visual artworks against the impermanent nature of dance, creating a world of poignant conflict - time passes but memories endure.
"It draws from the art works of the 16th and 17th centuries and its symbolism around mortality. I use dance as my art work," he said.
Act 3: Cult features one of the world's most exhilarating and ground-breaking choreographers, Hofesh Shechter's. Cult is the work that propelled the dance revolutionary into his global career. Instinctive and raw, and presented in association with Hofesh Shechter Company, Cult is a powerful illustration of his unique and celebrated choreography.
Given RPAC's proximity to Brisbane, Lister said he expected a few of his friends from Brisbane to join the Redland crew in the audience.
"It will be nice to brings family and friends along to a show. Just knowing they are there should give this show an edge. Doing a triple bill does that anyway - a tasty palette of works for any audience," he said.
Attendees can book for a free dance masterclass as part of the ticket purchase.
