Three people have been killed and one is in a critical condition following a shooting in northern Queensland.
Emergency services were called to a rural property in Bogie near Collinsville, northwest of Mackay, around 9am on Thursday following reports multiple people had been shot.
A man was located soon after in a vehicle with a gunshot wound to the abdomen. He was airlifted to Mackay Base Hospital in a critical condition.
"After speaking with the man, officers made an emergency declaration under the Public Safety Preservation Act at 11.30am at a property of Sutherland Road," Queensland Police said.

"Three people have since been located at the property deceased with gunshot wounds."
Queensland Ambulance Service said eight crews were sent to the incident, they were deployed from Mackay, Townsville and Rockhampton.
Investigations are ongoing into the circumstances leading up to the shooting.
"Police are currently conducting emergency operations in the area and requesting members of the public and aircraft to not attend the declared location," officers said.
Queensland Police were unable to provide further details on the age and gender of those who died; the incident; and whether any charges are pending.
