BLANKETS, linen and fresh pillows are needed to help a mother whose young daughter was allegedly assaulted in her Capalaba home.
The appeal was launched by Bec Viertel and Sienna Kinnear last Monday after a friend of the mother’s posted a request for help on the pair’s Facebook group Mum Zone Redlands.
Ms Viertel, who helps administer the site, said she was brought to tears after hearing later from the girl’s mother how the three-year-old was allegedly hurt by a male carer, 25.

The man, who was arrested after the girl’s admission to Redland Hospital on Thursday, November 9, was charged with nine offences, including torture, grievous bodily harm and sexual assault.
Ms Viertel said she was pleased people had rallied to donate.
Ms Kinnear said packing boxes, beds, drawers and other furniture had all been delivered by generous individuals to help the family whose home was turned into a crime scene.
She said the mother and daughter would relocate after the girl was discharged from hospital, with offers of help to move also received.
While $1200 was raised in the campaign’s first four days, donations of fresh linen are still needed.
Ms Kinnear said doonas, new pillows and towels would be greatly appreciated.
Items can be delivered to Wellington Point Day Care Centre, corner of Valley and Herbert roads.
They can also be dropped off at Albion’s Storage Choice at 26 Burdett Street during office hours.
