An estimated 10,000 people joined in the spirit of Christmas under clear skies at the Cleveland showgrounds for Redlands' annual Christmas by Starlight concert on Saturday night
The colour of glow sticks and other colourful lights illuminated the oval as children played and families relaxed on picnic rugs and chairs and joined in the carol singing.
A bay breeze kept temperatures down and a clear and starry night for the first time in three years for the Redland City Council organised Christmas carols event came as welcome relief.
The 100 per cent Redlands production was headlined by Redland’s own International soprano Mirusia Louwerse.
Other local talents included Craig Martin, Redland Rhapsody Chorus, Dakota Striplin, world champion beat-boxer Matt Gibbs, Kiara Rodrigues, Alayna McAulay, Oliver Samson, Courtney Heaton, Inah Moe, Jal Joshua, Breanna Fielding, Chloe Makiol, Katie Green and Strictly Dance.
Community groups provided food and drink stalls for the large crowd.
