FANS of 1970s and 1980s power pop and punk rock came out to pay homage the bands of their youth for A Day on the Green at Sirromet Winery at Mount Cotton on Sunday.
Headlined by Elvis Costello and the Imposters, and supported by cult band Sunnyboys, the ageing fans let themselves go under blue skies and a party atmosphere.
Throughout the afternoon, the stage line-up of Stephen Cummings, Tex Perkins and The Dark Horses, and Jo Jo Zep & the Falcons kept the 7000 strong crowd rocking.
