A BIRKDALE man has faced court over allegations he assaulted a bus driver at Capalaba on Saturday night.
Police allege the 27-year-old attacked the driver on a bus at the Capalaba interchange at about 6.20pm after an argument broke out.
A 70-year-old passenger who attempted to intervene was also allegedly targeted by the man.
The 55-year-old male driver suffered facial injuries and was transported to Redland Hospital.
His alleged attacker was charged with one count each of assault occasioning actual bodily harm, serious assault and public nuisance.
He appeared in Wynnum Magistrates Court on Monday.
