Cleveland's Alexa gets Voice fans

CLEVELAND singer, 10-year Alexa Curtis is attracting a Redland fan base after performing Alicia Keys’ Girl On Fire on The Voice Kids Australia on Sunday, June 29.

Alexa, who is a nipper at the Gold Coast but lives in Cleveland, sailed through the contest’s first round, the Blind Auditions.

She will now go on to the second stage, The Battle Round, which starts next month.

She won the hearts of judges when she said if at first she doesn’t success, she keeps on trying.

Her family moved to Redlands after landing in Australia from New Zealand.

The contest for kids aged between eight and 14, made headlines on the weekend after 12-year-old contestant Romy burst into tears after the four judges failed to turn their chairs for her.
