The 19-year-old, who established his IT businesss Buckham and Duffy Consultants in 2010, was chosen to go to the US after being spotted at the G20 Young Entrepreneurs Summit in Sydney in July.
While at the Sydney summit, Duffy touted his ideas for supporting the growth of young entrepreneurs through education programs.
His outlined plans for a school program so students can access resources, mentors and collaborate with others around the globe.
His team was asked to fly to Washington to address the Entrepreneur Organisation, a worldwide elite entrepreneur support network.
The Sheldon College graduate pursued his dreams to set up a company after being diagnosed with non-Hodgkin lymphoma in 2010. Since then, his fledgling business has grown from a basement office at Redland Bay's Red Edge shopping centre to Victoria Point's Lakeside complex where he expanded to employ five staff and 10 overseas staff.
