REDLAND City student Alexa is Australia's first winner of The Voice Kids.
The talented 10-year-old, who never had formal singing lessons before joining Team Delta, was the youngest in the finals, held on Sunday night.
There was a huge round of applause as she won, beating five other close rivals including Maddison, 13 from Queensland and Bella, 12 from Melbourne.
The year 5 student auditioned with a performance of Alicia Keys' Girl on Fire, causing all judges Delta Goodrem, Mel B and the Madden Brothers to turn their chairs, giving her the pick of mentors.
A lifelong fan of Goodrem's music, Alexa said she had no hesitation about choosing the Australian chanteuse.
"I felt like I had a connection with her... I knew she would be the best coach for me," she said.
Alexa said Goodrem helped her relax and chose excellent songs for her to sing.
"In audition one I was really nervous. I was shaking, but as the stages got further and further I felt more confident," she said.
"I felt this was a great opportunity for me to say to people that I had been on The Voice Kids."
Aside from Goodrem, Alexa listed Beyonce and Jessica Mauboy as her favourite singers, but had a more classic choice for her favourite band.
"This might sound really weird, but my favourite band is Queen," she said.
"They're just amazing. We always listen to their songs in the car. They're so good."
Alexa was selected from a public vote and won a $50,000 music and education scholarship and a record deal with Universal on the Channel 9 TV show.
But all six finalists, including Ruhi, 11, and Chris, 13, from New South Wales, and Grace, 13, from Melbourne, received family holidays to Disneyland.
The grand final was filmed in Sydney two months ago. However, live voting for the public vote was done in real time in a brief 15-minute voting window.
It meant the final three were all pre-recorded "winning" the competition.
Once the public vote was finalised, Channel 9 aired the corresponding victory and dumped the other two.
Universal will release a compilation of performances from the top six, most of which were heard in the grand final.
The Voice Kids has also spawned a concert tour, which takes place nationally next month during school holidays.
Last year's Voice winner Harrison Craig will host the concert.
"She's so nice, she's like, awesome. She's so supportive."
, including the Frozen hit Let It Go and Australian hitmaker Vance Joy's Riptide.
