Things are gearing up for the annual Redlands Classic Ride for Charity taking place on Sunday, September 21.
Australian V8 Superstars Tim Slade (Walkinshaw Racing), Jack Perkins (Team Jeld-Wen) and Scott Pye (Dick Johnson Racing) will be among the hundreds of participants donning their finest lycra ensembles and putting their pedals to the metal for what promises to be a fun-filled day of community involvement.
Besides being V8 legends and sharing a mutual interest in recreational cycling, which will no doubt make for some friendly competition on the bike track, the three also have a strong affiliation with Redlands Classic Ride major sponsor, Hog's Breath Cafe, also a major sponsor of V8 motorsports.
Tim, Jack and Scott encourage everyone to participate so get active, have fun and give it some grunt.
All rides start and finish at Raby Bay Harbour Park, Cleveland, with the 95km ride starting at 6.30am, the 55km ride starting at 8.15am and the 15km ride starting at 8.45am.
Proceeds from the ride this year will benefit Redland SES, Australian Rotary Health, The Rotary Foundation, Project: Love and Care, and Wellington Point Chaplaincy.
