It was stated in the Redland City Bulletin that land values are up 2.2pc across our city and 1.8pc in Wellington Point with a median valuation now of $280,000.
It seems the computers at the Valuer Generals Department have got it wrong.
Our 634sq m block of land value in October 2012 was $265,000 and now two years later is $331,000.
I can only hope by completing the objection form online a 58S that a real person will take notice and make adjustment.
Those of you that feel you have been automatically increased incorrectly can also lodge an objection form or be ready to accept higher rates in the near future.
