More than 100 people turned out at Redlands RSL Club in Cleveland last week for a Biggest Morning Tea in support of Cancer Council Queensland.
Now in its second year, the event was hosted by George Hartnett Funerals in conjunction with the RSL Club.
The morning included a range of delicious treats from the kitchen of executive chef Grant Randall and entertainment by former member of the Ten Tenors Andrew Pryor.
George Hartnett Funerals manager Greg Saunders said the event, which raised more than $1000 for the cause, was strongly supported by Cancer Council Queensland Redlands branch members and also by members of the public.
"We've always had strong support from Redlands RSL and its general manager Peter Harrison," Mr Saunders said.
"The RSL always contributes generously to the cause.
"We also greatly appreciate the help and time Carol Newman from George Hartnett Funerals gave to the event she spent a great deal of time helping to get things organised."
Mr Saunders said plans were already underway for a similar event next year.
