Redlands is in the grip of Johnny Depp mania.
The Hollywood heartthrob has generously given up hours to chat with hundreds who flocked to Raby Bay every day since Tuesday.
His charitable nature extended to signing a t-shirt, which will be used as a prize in an eBay auction to raise money for research into brain cancer.
Even though the crowd was told the actor had hurt his hand and would not be signing articles, Depp willingly helped out Thorneside woman Nicole Marini, who has brain cancer.
Mrs Marini stood in line for more than three hours waiting for the star and when he arrived boldly asked for his help and his autograph on her Footprint for Brain Cancer t-shirt.
"He did say he wasn't signing anything because of an injured hand and I suggested the other hand," she said.
"He tried to do his best to write on the shirt but he didn't have anything to lean on but I am really grateful."
Mrs Marini said she was not sure how much the signed t-shirt would fetch but hoped it would go a long way to much-needed research into brain cancer.
Dianne McGinn has been funding raising for Footprint for Brain Cancer with a wlak and other efforts throughout the year.

Depp also played along with many of the crowds' whims, shaking hands with young and old, getting in photos with disabled people and even posing with Captain Jack Sparrow lookalike costume shop owner George Prince.
Prince decided to dress up as the buccaneer pirate lord and catch up with his fictional hero at Raby Bay.
The Logan businessman said Depp obliged when he asked for a photo.
"He was accommodating and said 'Look everyone, it's my third - no fourth- cousin, second-time removed from Australia'.
"Everyone was calling out that I should be his double and he said 'I would love him to be my double'."
Depp signed the 36-year-old entertainer's arm, which Prince said he would later get tattoed.
Tattoos also got Corinda hairdresser Erin Maree up close and personal with the movie actor.
Her meeting will be deep etched into her memory - and arm - forever.
The second year apprentice hairdresser rushed out to Raby Bay to catch a glimpse of the megastar and asked him to sign her tattoo of him on her arm.
"It's my 21st birthday soon and it was a dream come true," she said.
"Johnny Depp said I'm amazing and thanked me for having tattoos of him on me. He asked me for a hug as well and then he signed my arm."
A hunch paid off for Alexandra Hills mum Kaylynn Ludwig, who rushed to Raby Bay on Tuesday with the faint hope of meeting her movie idol.
Just after 8am on Tuesday she was standing face-to-face with the movie star - albeit still in her pyjamas.
Depp, 51, in Cleveland for filming of the fifth Pirates of the Caribbean movie, saw Ms Ludwig's two-year-old daughter Chelsea and rushed over to say "Hi".
The good-looking pirate also wooed Redland mum Melissa Cornish, who could not believe her luck when he gave her a quick peck on the cheek.
Emma Spencer, of Upper Coomera, waited at the VMR boat ramp at Cleveland from 6am with her copy of her favourite movie Edward Scissorhands hoping for an autograph.
Depp went up to her and after signing her DVD hugged and kissed her on the cheek. "It was so amazing meeting him. He was so nice."
The tales of goodwill about the actor continued and Depp was back meeting and greeting crowds again on Thursday, when he shook hands with an astonished Tracy Slade and hugged Redland mayor Karen Williams.
"I was looking into his eyes while he held my hand and he asked me how I was doing," Tracy said.
"I was thinking 'marry me, marry me' but instead I just blurted out 'I'm good'."
The good-looking pirate was also overheard saying he loved Australia and said he was going to buy a home here.
The crowd also played up to the whimsical pirate. Jo Tamargo of Redland Bay displayed a sign saying "Hey Johnny, I know you miss your dogs, so have mine!... for a bit".
