Good Food Month is a celebration of food and dining out and has a program of more than 200 delicious events for food lovers that will take place from July 9 to August 9.
The Night Noodle Market at the Cultural Forecourt, South Bank has been extended to 12 nights from July 22 to August 2.
Extended operating times now include weekend yum cha opening hours from noon Saturday and Sunday, and offerings from 30 different stalls.
Night Noodle Markets will also be cashless, with all drinks and food purchases available by using credit, or debit card.
Fine dining fans can get ready to rub shoulders with Australia’s culinary greats, from the likes of Ben Shewry from Melbourne’s three-hatted Attica, James Viles from the double-hatted Biota Dining in Bowral, NSW and Mark Best from Sydney’s prestigious Marque.
Honing in on Queensland’s assets, with this year’s Hats Off Dinner program there has never been a better excuse to visit some of the State’s best establishments, whether it’s a first time visit or reconnecting with an old favourite.
From The Ultimate High Tea to Pop-ups & Precinct Parties, and World Safari Dinners to Cider & Slider, this year’s program will suit families, workers, night owls and everyone in between.
For food lovers keen to sharpen their writing skills, Brisbane’s Good Food Month presents Food Writing 101 with academic Dr Roger Haden from Le Cordon Bleu and food writer Barbara Sweeney.
The learning continues with Taste & Talk led by food and drink experts and Instant Expert sessions with the State’s best chefs and food artisans.
“It was great to see how Queensland embraced Good Food Month last year,” said Creative Director Natascha Mirosch.
“And it’s been a lot of fun planning this year’s program. We’ve managed to include something for everyone, from keen cooks who want to learn a new skill, to those who prefer to have their meals cooked for them by top chefs.”
The restaurant program with new categories will run throughout the whole month with both regional and metropolitan venues at the heart of this gastronomic event.
The launch of Brisbane’s expanded 2015 program sets the pace for Good Food Month: the world’s biggest food festival, which also takes place in Sydney, Canberra, Melbourne and Perth.
A sneak peek event for this year’s program was held earlier today at Brisbane’s Sake Restaurant with Executive Chef Shaun Presland and Head Chef Daisuke Sakai inspiring the food lovers in attendance.
