McKenzie Aged Care Group is due to open two purpose-built aged care residences in Redlands soon.
Capella Bay, on Old Cleveland Road East, Capalaba, was designed by internationally acclaimed Australian architects Fender Katsalidis.
It will house up to 133 residents and employ up to 200.
McKenzie Aged Care Group owns and manages seven other residences and two retirement villages in Queensland, as well as two residences in New South Wales and five in Victoria.
Following the successful completion of Capella Bay, McKenzie will begin construction on a second aged care residence in Smith Street, Cleveland.
It will be home to up to 128 residents.
McKenzie Aged Care Group principal Michael Powell said the company hoped to expand further in the region.
"It's a great opportunity for us to provide much-needed care in the area and to boost employment in the region too," he said.
"We have a long history of creating purpose-built homes that reflect the local environment and community.
"We're really proud of this beautifully designed new home in Capalaba and are looking forward to continued engagement with the Redlands community with the Cleveland residence."
McKenzie manager Sandy Foote said potential residents and employees had showed a lot of interest in Capella Bay.
Recruitment was under way and the company had received more than 1000 applications but most positions were already filled, she said.
