Since starting her career with Coles in 1990, Julie has worked across all areas of the store and has worked as meat manager, fresh produce manager, store support manager, duty manager and in assisting the audit and compliance team.
Currently point-of-sale coordinator, Julie enjoys training newer team members and passing on her knowledge from all departments.
Coles has been a family affair for Julie, with her husband and two daughters also working alongside her at Coles Innisfail before making the move to Brisbane in 2007.
Julie recalled her time working at Coles Innisfail when Cyclone Larry hit.
Thanks to a massive team effort, she and her team were able to keep the store open and lend a helping hand to locals who had lost everything, and the team was awarded a Coles State Innovation Award for their outstanding efforts.
Julie's generosity extends to in-store fundraising initiatives, and with the support of other team members she recently helped raise almost $2300 for Queensland's only children's hospice, Hummingbird House.
Coles Cleveland store manager Mark Davey said Julie was a valued member of the Coles Cleveland team.
"It was great to hold a celebration in recognition of her 25 years," he said.
