COOCHIEMUDLO Island Surf Life Saving Club’s Nippers are in for a treat on Sunday, November 15 when Trent ‘Maxi’ Maxwell, from Bondi Rescue, takes to the sand and water with them.
Maxi, who will fly from Sydney on the day, said he would be on the island from about mid-morning and into the afternoon.
He said although this wasn’t his first trip to Brisbane, he had never before visited Coochie.
“I’ve heard lots of good things about the surf club there and it will be interesting to chat to the lifeguards as well,” he said.
“Plus they’ll have a Sydney boy up there so they can show me how it’s done.”
Maxi said he would spend the day “hanging out with the Nippers” and meeting locals.
