REDLANDS Horse and Pony Club rider Tahira Jones has galloped home with a bundle of trophies after she and her mount, Cocoa, were named Horse and Rider of the Year.
Tahira, 10, won the prestigious title after beating riders as old as 14 from 16 south-east Queensland clubs.
Tahira was also awarded the Metropolitan Zone 1 "Sue Jones" trophy after clocking up the second most points for show jumping and dressage across all age categories.
The talented rider also won the Sue Nahrung trophy from Redlands club after she tallied the highest points at the club for the year.
The Faith Lutheran student has been competing for two years and her next goal is to ride in a show jumping event at the state level next year.
Redlands Horse and Pony Club also achieved top honours winning the Metropolitan Zone 1 Perpetual Trophy for the year in the highest point competition.
Club riders who competed throughout the year contributed to the point score.
