REDCLIFFE’S Mullet Gut String Band will come to down to southern Moreton Bay for the next Redlands Modern Country Music Club show.

Club spokesman Allen McMonagle said the the band’s music was lively, toe-tapping renditions of old Bluegrass, Hillbilly and Country music.
“With Chris on bass, Therese on banjo, Anne Marie on guitar and Greg on mandolin and other assorted odd instruments, they are guaranteed to be entertaining and will perform after the evening supper at 8.30pm,’’ Mr McMonagle said.
The show will be on Saturday, April 2 and doors will open at 4.30pm, with music starting at 5pm.
Venue for the social is Redlands Modern Country Music Clubhouse at Pinklands Sports Reserve, Cleveland-Redland Bay Road, Thornlands.
Mr McMonagle said it was a semi-outdoor venue, so it was best to bring a chair, insect repellent and a jumper.
As well as the Mullet Gut String Band, Redlands Modern Country Music Club members will also be on stage.
“The venue has a very relaxing atmosphere where walk up country music artists are invited to perform and members of the public are welcome to attend,’’ he said.
Admission is $4 for members and $5 for visitors. A barbeque meal will be available and a licensed bar will operate.
Tea and coffee and a free country style supper will be served at 8.30pm.
