All money raised at the Quandamooka Cup event will go to the charity Beyond Blue.
Martial arts and Muay Thai boxers from Brisbane and the Gold Coast will slog it out in 16 fights during the event.
Straddie’s boxing community decided to hold the event after the teenager’s death in March last year to help people who are struggling with a mental illness.
Organiser Sandy Heilig said the event is a tribute to the teen, who was a Muay Thai fighter.
“The event is a big salute to him and we hope it will also help a lot of other people,” she said.
Bloodshed Muay Thai head coach Dwayne Glasgow was a last minute addition to the program less than a week before the event.
He will fight against Mark Sarracino after Mark Staiti was forced to withdraw due to injury.
Boxers from Supa Jai Gym, named after the Straddie teenager, will also compete in fights during the event.
The Quandamooka Cup will be held at the stadium at Cleveland Showgrounds on Saturday.
Doors open at 2pm and the first fight starts an hour later.
Tickets start from $30 and are available at the door.
The event will be family friendly and family tickets can be bought.
Food and soft drinks will be available, but it will be a non-alcoholic event.
A chartered ferry will transport ticket holders back to North Stradbroke Island after the event at a cost of $10 per person.
Wrist bands issued at the show must be worn to use the chartered service.
