Two kayakers and three boaties were rescued when they got into difficulty while out on the water.
Police said the kayakers were near Green Island when they got into difficulty in high winds on Monday.
Two Coast Guard vessels, Water Police and a helicopter crew tried to find the kayakers from about 10.30am.
They were rescued and brought to shore about 2.30pm.
Three people were rescued after they got into difficulties and were stranded near Peel Island when high winds lashed the Redlands on Sunday.
Redland Bay Coast Guard’s David Bell said the rescue was extremely slow in the rough conditions and a second boat was brought to assist.
A second crew was called to assist with the rescue.
Also on Sunday, Redland Bay Coast Guard towed a small aluminium boat to safety after the engine broke down near Coochiemudlo Island.
One yacht that broke moorings in the wind ran aground also near Coochiemudlo, while another hit a rock wall at Weinam Creek.
Another two boats crashed into the rock wall at Weinam Creek on Monday.
Police said two of the vessels that ran aground over the weekend would have to be salvaged.
Mr Bell said the weekend’s incidents were a warning to people who underestimate conditions in the bay when it is windy.
“It can get quite rough in the bay and we can have surf-like conditions like we had this weekend,” he said.
Police said there were no other incidents in the bay over the long weekend as there were few people out on the water due to the poor weather.
