The refurbishment at Coles Capalaba was unveiled on Wednesday as part of the company’s investment over three years into supermarkets at Cleveland, Wynnum, Morningside, Springwood and Capalaba.
Coles state general manager for Queensland Paul Bradshaw said the refurbishment meant new job opportunities for the local community.
“We’re pleased to welcome 10 new team members to the Capalaba supermarket, bringing the team total to almost 110,” he said.
Deli manager Chris Pumfrey, who recently celebrated 38 years working with the supermarket and has been part of the Coles Capalaba team for 26 years, said there had been positive feedback on the refurbishment.
“The new and improved deli is now looking fantastic and the customers are loving the olive bar and extended cheese range,” he said.
Newly appointed store manager Ken Lothian said the store would continue its support for local charities and events.
