A $1000 reward has been offered to anyone who can help police find a brutal cat killer roaming Mount Cotton.

The charred remains of a cat were left on the side of Schoeck Road, off West Mount Cotton Road on Friday, May 20.
Redland snake catcher Tony Morrison found the blackened remains and reported it to police, who are now investigating the incident, along with the RSPCA.
"I saw this burnt object that just didn't look right," Mr Morrison said. "As soon as I stopped my car, I knew what it was.
"I went up to it and realised it was a cat. I could see that it had the imprints of a bag that was around it.
"So the culprits had put the cat in a bag and put some kind of accelerant on it and set it on fire," he said.
The RSPCA collected the body and took it to Gatton for an autopsy and will also conduct an investigation.
Animal lover Lauren George put out the cash call after details of the macabre case were posted on Redlands Veterinary Clinic's Facebook page.
RSPCA spokesman Micheal Beatty said the inquiry would determine whether the cat was tortured and alive when it was set on fire.
“There have not been many cases like this – and none that we know of in Redlands,” he said.
“However, there was the mass poisoning of birds in Redlands in 2011.”
Mr Beatty said if the autopsy finds the cat was tortured, charges would be animal cruelty with a maximum penalty of three years in jail.
He said if the charges were more serious, the maximum penalty could be seven years.
