About 100 bouquets of flowers will be dropped off around the Redlands for people to find and take home to enjoy, or pass on to someone else.
The random act of kindness is a project of the Redlands Floral Art Club as part of International Lonely Bouquet Day.
It is the third time the club has participated in the worldwide movement.
The club’s 28 members buy the flowers and get together to arrange them on Saturday, June 25.
The members then drop them off around the Redlands early the following morning.
Recipients might find them at hospitals, aged care facilities, churches, cafes and parks.
The bouquets are tagged with a note that explains the concept and provides an email address for the person finding the flowers to let the club know where they were found.
Club treasurer Val Decker said they had received overwhelming responses from people who have found the flowers in previous years.
“With so many uplifting emails of appreciation received, it has inspired us to do it again this year,” she said.
“It is like a random act of kindness to the community as flowers say so much without having to say anything at all.”
