Clear water following recent westerly winds gave people on North Stradbroke Island a great view of this 3m dugong on Sunday.
The dugong, known affectionately as a sea cow or sea siren, was grazing on the abundant sea grass under the Harold Walker jetty in Deanbilla Bay.
Warm weather and winds blowing the sea grass into the bay made it the perfect spot for a dugong buffet.
Straddie mum Anna Morgan caught this snap of the marine mammal, a regular visitor to boaties in the area.
