Pillowcase robbery
A 37-YEAR-OLD Goodna man has been charged with attempted armed robbery after he allegedly tried to hold up a Thorneside store on Saturday about 6pm.
Police will allege a man wearing a pillowcase on his head approached the store counter and removed a 30cm knife from a sheath.
He allegedly lifted the pillowcase, revealing his face, when the staff member did not understand his demands.
The man then fled without taking anything.
The staff member attempted to give chase with a piece of wood, but the man got away.
Police will allege a man was later identified through CCTV footage and arrested by police.
