Redlands jeweller Angela Hampton has designed and created an award-winning platinum, diamond and pearl ring.
Ms Hampton’s ring came second in the people’s choice category in a design competition held by the Broome-based business Cygnet Bay Pearls.
The ring contains a pearl that can be rocked sideways.
It is now for sale on consignment in Broome.
Ms Hampton, who lives in Redland Bay, said it was an honour for her design to be given recognition.
She said the comments from jewellers after photographs were shared on social media were exciting to read.
“To wow the general public is cool, but to wow other jewellers is the hugest compliment,” she said.
The only requirement for creations was that they included a pearl from Cygnet Bay.
Ms Hampton named her ring ‘Pearl Poseidon’ after the god of the sea.
“I believe the design represents strength and the crashing power of the ocean,” she said.
Ms Hampton has been a jeweller for over a decade, working for herself for about four years
She runs a mobile business, designing and making jewellery to the requirements of her customers.
Cygnet Bay Pearls held the competition for the first time this year, but it is set to become an annual event.
