Ms Glade has helped to look after the park since the 1980s when a neighbour said it was unsuitable to take her grandchild.
Ms Glade donated trees and upgraded equipment, including repainting swings and a slide herself.
“I did it for the people,” she said.
The plaque on the bench reads: “Amy Glade: For your personal contribution in preserving and enhancing our Redland environment”.
Ms Glade has lived in Capalaba for about 30 years and been involved with community initiatives for many years.
She helped to create the Keith Street Bushland Refuge and was involved in the Bushcare group at Valentine Road Reserve.
Ms Glade is known for taking on issues with a focus on environmental issues.
“I am one of those people who speak my mind,” she said.
“I believe in saying what I think and feel.”
The tribute bench in Chantelle Court Park will be dedicated to Ms Glade by deputy mayor Wendy Boglary on Sunday, November 6.
