REDLANDERS have honoured more than 102,000 Australian servicemen and women at a Remembrance Day ceremony at the cenotaph in Cleveland.
The ceremony marked the 98th year since World War I was brought to an end.
The armistice was signed in France at 11am on November 11, 1918.
The service in Cleveland was held at the cenotaph with members of the 25th/49th Battalion Royal Queensland Regiment making up the catafalque party.
Representatives from the Australian War Animal Memorial Organisation and the Australian Army Veterinary Corps attended with dogs, camels, a donkey and horses.
They represented the involvement of Australian war animals who have served alongside military men and women in combat.
Among the animals were post-traumatic stress disorder therapy dogs.
Victoria Point Cubs and Scouts formed an honour guard during the service.
