The five-year-old, who wants to be a constable when he grows up, spent much of the past year begging his mother for one.
His wish was finally granted earlier this month, with the shirts on sale at a police meet-and-greet at Wellington Point. The “Ice-cream and Coffee with a Cop” event was hosted outside Tanja’s Cafe and Cold Rock Ice Creamery.
Not only did Bradley enjoy free treats, balloons and visits from Santa Clause and Clancy the Koala, he also got to wear his very own junior police shirt for the very first time.
Other children and their families joined in on the meet-and-greet fun, which was hosted to introduce children to police in a relaxed way.
Senior Constable Samantha Schofield said the day was a great success with the numbers of families and children there greater than expected.
