Organised by Playgroup Queensland, the event helped to recognise the value of playgroups in the community.
Playgroup Queensland chief executive officer Stephen Alderman said the role of the organisation was to give families the resources that inspire them to play with their child.
“Children are active learners and learn through play and when you combine their natural curiosity with a parent’s or carer’s support you are giving a child valuable learning tools for the future,” Mr Alderman said.
Community organisations from the Redlands also attended the event providing information for parents.
