WELLINGTON Point business owner Sara Freeman was one of 10 mothers nationwide to be featured recently on the Kochie’s Business Builders website.
The website run by celebrity David Koch published the article Celebrating fabulous mums working in small business ahead of Mother’s Day.
Ms Freeman, a mum of two, founded the brand Me&My Hair Care five years ago.
She said it was a real coup to be featured on the website.
Ms Freeman started her own business selling professional hair care products to salons and online after working for multi-national hair care brands for 13 years.
“Working for myself and having the ability to work from home has given me a flexibility to play a bigger part in the life of my children than if I was working for someone else,” she said.
“It’s important to me to be there for them, but also to follow my own dreams and set an example for them as well.”
Ms Freeman said her knowledge of ingredients and development of formulations, gained during more than 20 years of industry experience, had led her to being acknowledged as an expert in her field.
