Redlands United have suffered their fourth straight defeat as Brisbane Roar Youth won 3-0 on Sunday afternoon after the match was postponed due to Friday’s wet weather.

The Red Devils were confident going into their clash against the Roar Youth after their performance against Brisbane City last weekend.
Roar Youth dominated the opening half and was rewarded when Nathan Yoon opened the scoring. It took only another 10 minutes before Roar doubled their lead, this time with Finn Beakhurt.
Redlands coach Matt Chandler was disappointed with the result.
“I think the game was honestly lost in the second half. It was disappointing for us not to play well,” Chandler said.
“Roar were good, moved the ball really quickly and we didn’t recover well so all credit to them, they were the better team of the day.
“We didn’t really turn up today which is disappointing because last week we played really well,” he said.
Roar Youth player Connor O’Toole was forced from the field early in the first half after a clash with Alex Warrilow required him to receive treatment for a head injury.
Redlands struggled to find momentum early in the game as Roar put pressure on their defence, which saw them lose possession time and time again. They were able to push Roar late in the half, with midfielder Sam Roper having the best chance for the side as his shot skimmed the crossbar.
Redlands looked likely to score at the start of the second half after two shots on goal in the space of a minute forced Roar Youth goalkeeper Tomislav Bilic to make stunning saves. However, once again Redlands went on the back foot as Roar Youth forward Rahmat Akbari secured the three points for his team, beating Denver Crickmore after he came out to try to block the shot.
Redlands was without Graham Fyfe for the third game in a row and Kai Halliday who was sidelined with injury.
“I don’t think Fyfe or Kai would have made a massive difference, a slight difference possibly but I wouldn’t be pointing fingers at the back four for any goals,” Chandler said. “There was an attitude through the team that wasn’t correct.”
Redlands is still without a win in the PlayStation 4 NPL Queensland since their round three clash against SWQ Thunder.
Redlands United will be back at the Showgrounds on Saturday May 27 when they take on Sunshine Coast FC Fire in a charity match in conjunction with Zonta Club of Wynnum Redland to raise awareness about domestic and family violence during Queensland’s Domestic and Family Violence Month.
