A crow was left eating… well, crow, after taking on a cockatoo in Ramsgate on Thursday.
Feathers were flying when the two winged combatants faced off.
Leader photographer Chris Lane captured the hawkward moment- in a dust up that lasted under a minute.
Photos show the cocky cockatoo enjoying the morning sun as it lazes on a brick fence.
The tranquil moment didn’t last too long before it was swooped upon by a winged opponent who dropped from the sky in a blaze of black feathers.
But the cockatoo proved that toucan prove at that game.
The battle continued as the cockatoo fiercely defended his perch, proudly sporting a yellow crest of honor.
It was a battle of squarks from there as the pair battled to be named top bird.
The fight only ended when the cockatoo leaped from his brick perch with talons drawn.
Despite a valiant defence the crow was left to slink away with the cockatoo proving to be a chirp of the old block.
