A day on the green and The Hit Network have joined forces to keep the RNB party going in 2018 with the reveal of the first ever RNB Vine Days.
The special Vine Days winery shows comes to Sirromet Wines on Sunday, February 4.
The concert series will showcase big names in contemporary R&B including Boyz II Men andTLC who will lead the charge alongside Jamaican-American dancehall maestro Shaggy, DJ Horizon and YO! MAFIA.
Over the past 20 years Boyz II Men has given fans a rich catalogue of hits filled with smooth harmonies and enduring themes. The trio’s four Grammy Awards are just the tip of the iceberg, with other accolades including nine American Music Awards, nine Soul Train Awards and three Billboard Music Awards.
Boyz II Men have won fans the world over with soulful multi-octave sound and incredible vocals from mega hits like End Of The Road, I’ll Make Love To You and One Sweet Day and more recently Under The Streetlight Ladies Man and Stay.
One of history’s most influential female hip hop and R&B acts TLC comprise three empowered women, Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins, Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas and Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes who captured the world’s attention with their sassy and sophisticated R&B set against a socially conscious lyrical style. Tragically in 2002, Lopes was killed in a car accident. Refusing to call it quits in honour of their fallen sister T-Boz and Chilli have since continued to tour worldwide.
Selling 65 million records worldwide with five Grammy Awards under its belt, TLC remains a force to be reckoned with. Releasing its first album in 15 years in June (through Liberator Music) they produced hits Haters and Way Back which follow the same style of anthems No Scrubs, Waterfalls and Unpretty.
Dancehall reggae’s biggest hit-maker Shaggy captured attention with a remake of Oh Carolina. His trademark baritone elevated the reggae revival through strong storytelling in songwriting.
Spinning all the biggest hip hop and RNB jams, DJ Horizon will keep the party pumping between performances before taking over the stage for an entire hour of party anthems.
