Sports personality, Sam Thaiday, from the Brisbane Broncos, will be visiting the centre for their sports sign-on day on Saturday, February 3rd.
About 20 sporting clubs will have stalls set up at the shopping centre from 10am, with Thaiday to appear on stage about 11.30am.
The former Australian international will be looking to rack up his 300th game before handing in his Broncos jumper at the end of this season.
A Victoria Point Shopping Centre spokesperson said Sam would answer fan’s questions and sign autographs.
“...with a bit of arm twisting he may even hand out some cooking tips,” the spokesperson said.
He will share the stage with former Australian rugby league test pro David Shillington, who represented Queensland in the State of Origin and played for the Canberra Raiders and Gold Coast Titans.
”He now promotes the Men of League Foundation, which has grown to be the charity of rugby league providing support to former players and their families,” the spokesperson said.
The spokesperson said each club would also be promoted during the sign-on.
The sports sign-on day is on from 10am until 4pm.
