“They are a credit to the Queensland police service, to the community they serve and to their family and friends,” he said.
Dunwich’s Senior Constable Adam Brown was awarded a 15-year service clasp to the Queensland Police Service Medal.
The medal was also bestowed to Capalaba’s Senior Constable Trent Keid, prosecutor Emily Ollenburg and Cleveland administration officer Angela Hull for ten years of fulltime service.
Bayside Criminal Investigation Branch senior constables Thomas Buckman and Paul Dunne, and Child Protection and Investigation Unit’s Daniel Wruck, were all appointed as detectives.
The three received their detective certificates after completing intensive investigative training.
Capalaba’s Constable Nicholas Caine and Cleveland’s Constable Peter Carroll were two of 12 officers to receive an Assistant Commissioners certificate for exceeding expectations in the execution of duty.
District officer certificates were also presented to Capalaba’s senior constables Donna Chai and Chris Pearson and Constable Stuart Power for their commendable actions displayed.
Member for Stretton Duncan Pegg, who represented Police Minister Mark Ryan, said each officer deserved to be honoured for their courage and boundless dedication to the public service.
“We recognise the difficult roles of each and every member of the Queensland Police Service,” he said.
“I know the community I represent and the wider Queensland is thankful for everything they do. I am sure these officers will continue to go on and do their communities proud.”
