MOTHER'S Day is a proud occasion for Victoria Point resident Pauline Eadie.
She has barracked for her sons behind the sidelines at their AFL matches since 1991.
A proud advocate for sport, she not only encouraged her children to pursue their dreams, but threw her weight behind their chosen club – the Victoria Point Sharks Football and Sporting Club – by joining the committee.
"I have always loved the game and it was so obvious my sons were going to get in AFL," she said. "Football always came first.”
The family involvement and love for the Sharks runs so deep, she jokes that she’ll still be there in decades to come.
"I am sure they will carry down the lineage when they have kids and I will still be at the club supporting them,” she said.

Mrs Eadie’s sons Liam, 22, and Mitch, 31, not only play, but take on the added responsibilities as Sharks Club captain and vice captain respectively.
"It has made me really proud because my sons did really well," she said.
Her advice to other mothers is to encourage children to participate in sport and join in the fun alongside them. "If you can get involved in it as much as you can it will bring you joy seeing their achievements,” she said. "It’s important to give back to a community or club that your children are involved in.”
This year Mrs Eadie will celebrate Mother's Day alongside her sons and she wouldn’t have it any other way.
"It's a great club to be involved in,”she said.
“Happy Mother's Day to all the mums.”
